Our girls just love their Papa! So I decided to get them together for a portrait! I was also asked by my sister to shoot a picture of little Emma Lee while she had her Easter dress on. She is a cute little thing!

Social Media...........and me........
So, I will confess, I've been slow to make use of social media applications! I've been criticized by friends because I'm usually always the one with beta versions of a bunch of different software and gadgets, but I've been very stuck on the idea that facebook, twitter, blogging, etc wasn't for me. I definitely prefer to talk to real people, but what I came to accept is that with how busy everyone gets this is a very effective way of keeping contact with people that I don't see very frequently. These applications allow us to break up 50 different conversations with 50 people over a week. They allow us to broadcast ourselves to those who want to "tune in". Usually these are just friends and family, but occasionally we pick up readers who just like to hear what we have to say. I have a great number of sites and blogs that I follow from other photographers, who don't know me, just so I can see what they are working on! I absolutely love it!
I feel totally blessed to live in a time when technology allows us to keep in contact the way we can today. Just this morning I was updating facebook and saw that an old friend from high school had accepted my friendship invite. What surprised me was that in his friends list I saw another old friend, and he was married to another of my friends who I'd been trying to find for a while. I saw she kept a blog and after about 10 minutes of reading and laughing out loud, I once again feel connected to those two and their families! Amazing isn't it!
I will tell you though, the best part is seeing PICTURES, GREAT pictures. Pictures just do what words cannot! I really hope all of the families and people Cami and I photograph share their images on facebook, blogs, twitter, myspace, and especially on their living room walls!! That's what I live for...... If you need some pictures to proudly show the world, come see me!

New Blog Format
Okay.....it's been a while for me. I'm going to try to make these post smaller so I'll be more likely to post frequently. I've integrated my blog in to our website so everyone knows what we're up to. I think it will be better for the blog this way.
To make a long story short, we had a great summer last year and had dozens of shoots to keep us as busy as we wanted. Since last summer we've switched to shooting Nikon equipment. It's not that Nikon is better than Canon as much as it fits really well with how we like to shoot. When a camera system fits you well it gets out of the way and lets you be more expressive with your art. You begin to think more about the image and less about the tool.
We are also working hard on getting a studio set up. That's been the most difficult part of the winter, the inability to be able to shoot indoors when the weather is bad. We hope to have a full studio setup soon that can handle a full size family in it. I'll keep you updated on that.
